Authentic and intimate farm where the whole family are able to relax – even mum and dad

Dambækgaard offers farm stays with two-course dinners and breakfast. Accommodation in room with direct access to private terraces and surrounding nature, farm camping in caravan or an empty lot for your own tent. Every evening Kirstine serves freshly made meals from her authentic Eurpoean country style kitchen. Everything is freshly made from scratch and always from the farms own products or from local producers.

Situated ideally in the middle of nature the farm is still only a mile from the local train station and Copenhagen and most of the Zealand sights can be reach within an hour.

There are plenty of activities to enjoy for everyone. We keep pig, goats, chickens, ducks, geese, dog and cats and on the daily feeding tour, the farmer Jan invites guests to join him, where they have a chance to get close to all the animals. A small path is always open for guests to visit the goats and take a glance at the birds, and the dog Balder is always up for playing. In summer the farmwife picks berries on a daily basis, guests are more than welcome to join picking and jam making, and sometimes she invites children to help make ice cream or maybe a cake to serve for the parents for dessert in the evening.

The garden features a trampoline that’s dug down, a climbing tractor, fireplace, petanque court, terraces to relax, sandbox for the wee ones and plenty of toys, so the children can play around, while mum and dad enjoy the view from the large terrace or from the pallet sofas in the covered outdoor lounge.

Indoor there’s a play lounge with straw sofas and a large window for parents to hang out and enjoy the scenery while the children play.

The dining room where our experienced chef each morning serves freshly baked bread accompanied with a broad selection of jams and fresh eggs as well as a two-course dinner made from seasonal produce, also offers: several board games, swapping library and a Brio trail rack, so that the children can play whilst mum and dad can relax and enjoy their dinner. Meals can be enjoyed either in the big dining room or out on the terrace overlooking the fields.

In summer, we light the pizza oven once a week where guests are welcome to create their own pizza and when the weather allows we light the fireplace to make crepes, bread baked on a stick or popcorn.

The farm is also available for private parties, meeting and seminars.
